EXHIBITOR INFORMATION

The Minnesota Funeral Directors Association (MFDA) is holding a tabletop show as part of their MFDA 2023 Convention at DoubleTree by Hilton Minneapolis - Park Place. Minnesota funeral directors will attend this event which features CEU presentations, tabletop displays, and an evening event for all attendees and exhibitors.

6 Reasons to Exhibit at MFDA's 2023 Convention

  1. NETWORKING: Funeral directors are looking forward to a great convention to reconnect with their colleagues and spend time visiting with funeral industry suppliers.
  2. SHOWCASE YOUR COMPANY: Designated exhibit hours for attendees to visit with you at your table - no sitting for 8 hours waiting for attendees to walk by.
  3. INCENTIVES: You can offer incentives for attendees to visit your table - prize giveaways for attendees.
  4. BRIGHT IDEA BINGO!: Engage with attendees at your booth before you give them the secret word for their bingo card.
  5. GET YOUR GAME ON SOCIAL: Wednesday’s networking event gives exhibitors an opportunity to enjoy an evening with attendees at a free event for all attendees and exhibitors.
  6. EXTRA EXPOSURE: Attendees receive 1 CEU for visiting all of the exhibitors on their bingo cards each day! 

Tabletop displays will be set up in the room where breaks are served, adjacent to where CEU sessions will be delivered and lunch served, and in the registration foyer, and along hallways where all registrants travel and network between sessions.

Tabletop location assignments will be based on if exhibitor is a sponsorship, consecutive years of exhibiting at MFDA convention, if they are an MFDA Allied member, and when the display contract and payment are received. Your tabletop location with a map will be provided via email after the early-bird registration closes on Friday, March 10, 2023 and tabletops are assigned. Due to layout and demand, you may be close to a competitor. Exhibit spaces may not be shared – one company per space.
 
Attendance of CEU sessions is included with exhibit registration.

Meals: Exhibitor staff can attend the Wednesday and/or Thursday lunch during convention. Exhibitor lunch tickets are $25 and are required to attend
convention lunches. 

Set-up on Wednesday, May 3 from 8:00am-2:30pm. There is no day/evening-before access to set-up. Tear Down on Thursday, May 4 at 10:30am-3:00pm. To access your tabletop display, please use the lobby entrance or other hotel entrances to load-in. Your tabletop location with a map will be provided via email after early-bird registration closes on Friday, March 10 and tabletops are assigned.

 

 

 

Get Your Game On! 2023 MFDA Social, Wednesday, May 3, 7:00pm-10:00pm: Join us at Punch Bowl Social in St. Louis Park (just a 5 minute walk from the DoubleTree) for game night fun! All convention registrants (attendees and exhibitor staff) can attend this optional but fun reception by wearing their name badge to the event. Join us for networking, free appetizers, drink tickets, and a cash bar. Sponsored by Wieser Vault and MAS Communications. 

 

 


 
Convention dress code: Business casual for exhibitors.

Sponsorships: The Convention’s success depends upon sponsor support. See Sponsorship page for details on ways to get extra exposure.

Parking: Parking is free at the DoubleTree Place Place Hotel.

Tabletop registration fees include:

  • One 8’ skirted table with two chairs.
  • Up to 2 exhibitor staff badges (additional exhibitor staff/guest badges available for $50 each).
  • Event access for each registered exhibitor staff/guest for the “Get Your Game On” social event on Wednesday Night
  • Exhibitor staff can attend the Wednesday and/or Thursday lunch during convention. Exhibitor lunch tickets are $25 and are required to attend convention lunches.
  • Incentive prize giveaways to draw attendee traffic to your tabletop display.
  • Publicity in MFDA Bulletin, Official Convention Guide, MFDA social media, and Convention web site at www.mnfuneral.org.

 

8’ Tabletop Display Rules: No booth set-ups, backdrops, banners, flags, end tables, racks in front, etc. that are outside of the space of your 8ft table. Some flexibility allowed, but only with advance approval and if adjacent vendors don’t object. Stay within your space (stage instead of upstage). Your entire exhibit must fit on the included 8’ wide, skirted table. Two chairs included. 2 registered exhibitor staff included; additional staff fee available to purchase.

 

If you need anything (e.g. electric, storage, etc.) besides the 8’ skirted table, two chairs, and WiFi access, you must arrange for it through MFDA’s Exhibit Coordinator Kathy Sheridan at 763-416-0124 kathy@mnfuneral.org.

Exhibitor Fees
MFDA Allied Members: $600 early-bird/$700 after March 10.

Non-Members: $960 early-bird/$1,060 after March 10.

Non-Profit (Universities, government, non-profits only): $350 early-bird/$450 after March 10.

MFDA Allied Member Car Spaces: $700 early-bird/$800 after March 10 (car spaces include 1- 8’ tabletop display indoors and 1 – designated outdoor parking space for a vehicle, located in close proximity to the convention meeting building).

Non-Member Car Spaces: $1,060 early-bird/$1,160 after March 10 (car spaces include 1- 8’ tabletop display indoors and 1 – designated outdoor parking space for a vehicle, located in close proximity to the convention meeting building).

Additional Exhibitor Staff: $50 for each additional staff or guest of exhibitor staff outside of two (2) registered exhibitor staff per tabletop space, unless included with sponsorship.  Additional staff will receive the same exhibitor staff benefits (Wednesday Get Your Game On! Access included).
 
Exhibitor Cancellation Policy: In the event you need to cancel, you will receive a full refund until April 14 upon written notification, and a 50% refund from April 15-May 21. After that date, no refunds will be issued.
